VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) has become central to the OnSite efficiencies in
industrial operations ensuring stock levels are kept to necessary levels to cover
the urgent and crucial need for consumable items during peak periods and maintenance
shutdowns.
Blackwoods implemented its first managed warehouses over 20 years ago and now have
over 400 OnSite facilities in place across Australia. We use that experience to
provide you with a range of OnSite supply solutions and facilitation services to
help you to reduce in-process inventory and its associated costs.
While products are stored OnSite, a Blackwoods OnSite Facilitator is responsible
for maintaining stock at pre-agreed maximum and minimum levels. Stock depleted between
visits is recorded and the system is updated and dispatches an order.
